Get started

Through Synctera, you can offer your end customers the ability to add cards to their digital wallet, such as Apple Pay or Google Wallet. This provides a convenient way for cardholders to store and use their payment cards securely. When the card is added to the digital wallet, the card’s sensitive data, i.e. the PAN, expiration date and CVV, is replaced with a token. This token serves as a reference to the card, and is used when the cardholder makes a payment using the digital wallet. In order to enable Apple Pay and Google Pay, the FinTech will need to submit the following:
  1. Digital asset of the card - required: Network logo, card product identifier (1536 x 969 pixels in PNG)
  2. Digital asset of the FinTech icon (100 x 100 pixels in PNG)
  3. Digital asset of the FinTech logo (1372 x 283 pixels in PNG)
  4. RBG Colors of foreground, background, and logo color.
  5. (Mastercard) Completed “Product configuration profile” - PRODUCT CONFIGURATIONS Tab on form only - see below:

FAQ

Q: My card or my customer’s card cannot be added to Apple or Google Wallet and I am getting an error. A: The cause can vary, but Mastercard, Apple, and/or Google can decline a customer’s ability to add their debit or credit card to their digital wallet. This occurs when the entities believe the fraud risk of the individual is higher than their threshold. The wallets calculates these scores based on behavior across Apple’s or Google’s lines of business and programs. Apple and Google considers various factors in coming up with the score, including historic and recent transactions, anomalous behavior, and links to known bad actors or activity. The trust scoring modes are managed by Apple and Google’s fraud team and adapted based on the latest fraud knowledge and trends.
