How do I get access to Mastercard Connect?

Bank access

For MC Connect, you must assign one Business Administrator (BA) and two Security Administrators (SAs) through form 1145, which can be obtained from the Form Library on MC Connect. BA and SAs will receive email notification from Mastercard confirming MC Connect logon information, including secure token.

Business Administrator (BA) responsibilities

  • Managing access to applications and data for your bank, including selecting the data (for example, ICA Number, BIN, or account range) that can be used with each application.
  • Managing which applications can appear in the Connect Store for your bank’s employees.
  • Register and maintain your service provider relationships and, where applicable, access that will be visible in the Connect Store for service provider users.

Security Administrator (SA) responsibilities

  • Managing new user accounts, including creating the account and sending an invitation to the user to sign in to Mastercard Connect and complete the account set up.
  • Assigning access or approving requests to applications and data

Service Provider access

In order to provide Synctera access to MC Connect, you need to register and provision Synctera as a Service Provider. As the issuer processor, Marqeta also needs to be registered as a Service Provider. BA registers Service Providers by completing the Mastercard Service Provider Registration in MC Connect. For more details, see the “How to …” guide below or refer to the Mastercard Service Provider Registration Guide that can be retrieved through the Technical Resource Center on MC Connect. After the bank’s ICA is ready, BA provisions Service Providers specific applications for the bank’s ICA. The applications Synctera needs to be provisioned for are listed in the table below. Based on Synctera’s relationship with Marqeta, you’ll only need to Register Marqeta for:
  • Authorization
